Workshops Online with RG
RG's 2027 monthly workshop series on ZOOM offers an intuitive and creative approach to connecting with your flute through simple writing, reflection, and melody. Each workshop focuses on a different theme — from daily awareness and gratitude to nature, personal strengths, dreams, and even your favorite food. You’ll create a short chant and songs inspired by the theme of the day and play it on your flute using natural breath, tone, and rhythm.
Whether you’re exploring the quiet of winter, the freshness of spring, the warmth of summer, or the colors of fall, each workshop helps you express your experiences through sound. You’ll also enjoy workshops centered on personal inspiration, such as your power, your dreams, your favorite place, and the simple joys that bring comfort.
Each monthly workshop is designed for all levels and offers a relaxed, intuitive way to blend writing and flute playing. By participating, you’ll have created new songs that reflect your creativity, your experiences, and your connection to the world around you.
The workshops are designed for players to join for a single month, or the entire series. See listing below to register!
This is a safe, fun environment to learn with others that includes demonstrations, group and individual instruction, tutorials, and interacting in real time.
RG's live workshops are 90 minutes with a video emailed to participants following the session. This means that you do not have to attend the live session and can use the recording to learn!
Once you register, an email will be sent with a confirmation and a link to join the workshop.
Learn directly from Robin Gentlewolf, a.k.a. "RG", a multiple award winning Native American flute performer from Oregon who is also an accomplished commercial recording artist and flute instructor. RG's style with the native flute is very unique - a blend of indigenous embellishments and modern techniques with heartfelt expressions.
Through her online workshops, lessons, On Demand Videos, and university instruction, RG has taught thousands of students how to play the Native American Flute, including many well-known professional players.
RG is an enrolled Tribal Elder of the Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Tribe, under the name of Texas Cherokee, signed a treaty with the Republic of Texas on February 23, 1836. Drawing from her indigenous roots, she shares a message of “be good to the earth and kind to each other” in her music and life. She also holds degrees and certifications in Metaphysical Sciences with decades of related practices.
"Everyone has a special voice and purpose with their flutes. With so much out there that puts players in a 'box', we are grateful to present RG's incredible workshops to support your flute journey." Jan Michael Looking Wolf
